Memories
As a woman, beyond middle age but not yet elderly, I spend more and more time looking back, reviewing and reminiscing my life's events and relationships. I remember and re-imagine places, situations and people from my childhood. I believe our first memories of home help form our personal story, with many memories flowing together to form a layered portrait. The thick castings of child-like house forms are finding their way into more and more of my current work. The re-envisions of home, memories, childhood, connections and relationships have been re-created in the form of kilnfired glass. The memories are fluid and changing as the artistic process itself.
