This one-of-a-kindsculpture is kiln-formed glass fabricated on a thick etched and patinaed glass base. Iridescent glass reflecting light from within emphasizes the transparent quality of the upright panel. All the color in this piece is from cut and layered glass that has been fired multiple times in a kiln specifically designed for heat work with glass. Black metal oxide and 24k gold are fired into the surface to add texture, detail, and movement. The artist has etched-signed this unique piece in the lower right corner.
